Tidy Find & Replace for Confluence
Changelog
What changed in each version of Tidy Find & Replace for Confluence, newest first.
Version 1.0 (1 November 2026)
The first release:
- find and replace text across the whole site, chosen spaces, one space, a page tree or one page, from Confluence administration, space settings or a page's ••• menu;
- one pair, or up to 100 pairs pasted from a spreadsheet; match case, whole words only, and regular expressions (RE2), with groups in the replacement;
- page text always; page titles, link addresses and code when you choose them; pages and blog posts; personal spaces only when you include them; filters by label, title words and, for Confluence admins, advanced CQL;
- a preview of every match before anything changes, with an estimate of the run, plain warnings, and tick boxes for pages and single matches;
- jobs that run as you, with your Confluence permissions, in batches you can pause, resume and cancel, and that wait by themselves when Confluence's hourly allowance for the app is used up;
- every save checked: the saved page is read back and compared, and the previous version is put back if Confluence stored anything else (other than equivalent link forms it writes itself); pages with unpublished changes, and pages with a link that Confluence would remove or rewrite on a save (a file, macro, emoji, date, placeholder or image from another website inside a link, a link to an attached file, or a shortcut link), are skipped;
- a report for each job, with links to each page and its history, and to the version the job saved;
- Activity, with Run again and undo: a job's changes are taken back where that is safe, with a preview first;
- two switches for Confluence admins: whether space admins, and page editors, can use the app;
- the Tidy Find & Replace agent in Rovo: on sites with Rovo, ask it to plan a find and replace in a space, preview first, or to find pages still linking to your old server. It never changes a page itself: you preview and start every job in Tidy Find & Replace;
- a free migration scan, on every plan: after a move from Confluence Server or Data Center, count the links that still point at your old server, by pattern, with the pages and spaces that hold them, and list pages with macros from apps or legacy content, and pages the app could not read;
- fixes from the scan, preview first: links to pages and blog posts by title, to space home pages by key, and on a renamed host, changed in bulk, with a report and undo;
- everything stays in Atlassian's cloud (Runs on Atlassian), with Atlassian's personal data reporting.
